G Inguanta (they/them) proudly identifies as a New Yorker- where they received both their undergraduate degree in Sociology and masters degree in Social Work. As a part of their undergrad degree they learned side by side with folks enrolled in classes at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility; G has presented in prisons and participated in conferences with incarcerated students. G has focused their studies on the intersection of state-sanctioned violence, race, and gender; particularly the criminalization of women by the child welfare system.
